About Elite Staging & Design

Kelly Hickman

Kelly Hickman

Principal Designer

At an early age, when other girls were playing dolls, Kelly was redesigning her Barbie house’s interiors and decorating her own bedroom with ever changing bedding and curtains, even repainting her bedroom and bathroom walls as a teenage and during college in her Sorority house. Born in Greenwood, SC, she studied Fine Arts and Interior Design at Winthrop University, in Rock Hill, SC. After graduation, Kelly left The South to live in Sausalito, CA, working with Martin Kobus/ MK Home and award-winning designers throughout California and Nevada. Returning to NC, she continued working with Charlotte’s finest designers and exquisite homes. Leaving the design industry for a few years and missing it, with some encouragement from her entrepreneur husband, Jeff, she was excited to return and open Elite Staging and Design in 2018. When she is not working with new home buyers in the design studio or assisting clients with their design needs, you can find her playing with her young twin boys and/ or walking her 2 dogs, Maggie and Henry.
